Patch Notes - January 23rd 2019

Greetings Adventurers,

This week we bring you many changes and fixes you have been asking for in the way of tweaks and changes to some of your favourite classes. There are too many fixes to mention here, but be sure to read carefully, ask lots of questions, and let us know what you think!

Finally, we are proud to see many of you are enjoying the early access of Shadow Arena. We have made some changes based on your feedback to hopefully solve a few of the issues many of you have provided. We hope you continue to enjoy this content and continue to provide your thoughts.

[New Events]

  • Fortune Favors the Bold event has been added.

    • Event Period: Jan. 24th 00:00 UTC - Feb. 13th 23:59 UTC

    • You can obtain either the [Event] Pit-a-pat Fortune Cookie or the [Event] Fortune Cookie for Rookies once per day through the Challenge (Y) window.

    • Depending on the Fortune Cookie, you can either receive an immediate reward or randomly receive 1 of 16 quests!

[Attendance Rewards]

  • Rookie and Returning Attendance rewards have been reset: Jan. 24th 00:00 UTC - Apr. 17th 23:59 UTC

 

  • The Shadow Arena waiting area will no longer be called Marni’s Secret Isle (it will simply be called Shadow Arena).

  • There were overall adjustments to the balancing for skill damages. Skills which were relatively not used were enhanced, and skills which dealt excessive damage were reduced.

    • You may not notice a significant difference in certain circumstances since items have a more impact than skills in Shadow Arena.

  • Added a UI feature which always displays the AP and DP on the left side of the minimap in Shadow Arena.

  • The Wizard and Witch will now obtain Sage's Memory instead of Speed Spell through the Unknown Skill Book.

  • Fixed the issue where you were able to enter more than 6 digits for the Private Room password.

  • Made improvements so that the Dark Fog can be more visible within the Map (M).

  • There will be a confirmation window when you select the “Leave” button while you are in a Shadow Arena match.

  • Fixed the issue where text would appear overlapped within the Shadow Arena stats window while at the Shadow Arena waiting area (formerly known as Marni’s Secret Isle)

  • When a duplicate login has been detected due to logging into the game while already logged in to Shadow Arena in the waiting area (Formerly called Marni’s Secret Isle), the game will properly display the Start UI after disconnecting.

  • You can now jump in the water by pressing the spacebar while you are a Black Spirit.

  • Fixed the issue where the Dark Knight’s sub-weapon AP would not be applied.

  • Fixed the issue where the name of the winner would be displayed when you leave Shadow Arena.

  • Fixed the issue where certain text was difficult to read due to being overlapped in Shadow Arena.

  • Fixed the issue where the remaining time would not be clearly visible in the Shadow Arena.

  • All languages will now display the option to select Solo or Party when creating/entering a private match.

  • Added a widget which briefly displays the item grades of all item parts when you equip an item.

  • We are aware of the issue where the remaining time of a match is not being displayed inside the Private Room UI in Shadow Arena.

[Updated 21/01/2019]

  • Shadow Arena Rankings menu has been added to the ESC menu.

 

[System]

  • The system message which is displayed when failing a Guild Invite or Party Invite has been changed like the following:

    • Cannot find the character from the current channel.

  • The Transport Wagon and Ship will now move properly to the correct paths.

  • You can now place bids equal to the Standard Price at the Marketplace.

 

 

[Game World]

  • Fixed the graphical issue where Ships from far away would appear as if they were moving sideways.

  • Changed the placement of fish which were placed incorrectly at Navarn Steppe.

  • The level requirement for receiving the EXP bonus 50% was increased from Lv. 30 to Lv. 50 for the Olvia server.

  • The color of the Roaming Black Spirits at Bree Tree Ruins will now be black.

  • Fixed the issue where an annex would occasionally disappear when hit by a summoned object during Node/Conquest War.

 

[NPC]

  • The location of the NPC in front of the door at 3-1 of Heidel has been changed.

 

 

[All Classes]

  • Fixed the issue where an abnormal text would appear when using basic attack while on a mount.

 

[By Class]

 

  • The skill command for the skill Executioner has been changed from E to Shift + E.

  • The Take Down skill can now be used with the E command while in Awakening mode.

  • Guard and Great Sword Defense can now be used after cancelling another skill in use.

  • While attempting to use the skill Ground Smash, Kick or Flow: Knee Kick will no longer be activated.

  • The attack range for the skill Flow: Knee Kick has been increased.

  • A stiffness effect has been added to the skill Flow: Knee Kick.

  • The knockback distance of monsters hit by the skill Flow: Knee Kick has been reduced.

  • The duration of the Super Armor effect for the skill Flow: Slashing the Dead has been increased.

  • The WP consumption for the skill Piercing Spear has been reduced from 95 to 50.

  • The skill Black Spirit: Solar Flares’ hits will now be affected by attack speed.

  • The movement distance for the skill Balance Strike has been increased.

  • The skills Merciless and Flow: Reckless Blow can now combo more quickly after using Flow: Armor Break.

  • The Forward Guard effect has been added to the skill War Cry.

  • The Forward Guard effect has been added to the first motion of the skill Counter.

  • The damage for the skill Ultimate: Ground Smash has been increased by 50%, and will now deal 2 more hits.

    • 1023% x 2 → 1591% x 4
  • Added a 100% Critical Hit Rate for successful Ultimate: Ground Smash hits.

  • Added a Super Armor effect to Ground Smash skills (excluding the skill Ultimate: Ground Smash).

  • Fixed the issue where the cooldowns for some skills would reset when used during their cooldowns.

    • Kick
    • Chopping Kick

    • Flow: Knee Kick

    • Counter

    • Charged Shield Strike

    • Piercing Spear

 

  • The command for the skill Raging Thunder has been changed to the following:

    • LMB + RMB to use skill, and then LMB to trigger the final hit.

  • Fixed the tooltip for the skill Raging Thunder to be more accurate.

  • Fixed the issue where the PvP damage reduction effect for the Elastic Force would not apply properly.

  • When using the skill Absolute: Elastic Force, the additional damage (equal to 1% of the max MP of your character) will no longer be applied.

 

  • Using the skill Trample I through the quickslot will now activate the skill more slowly.

  • The skill Heilang: Scratch I will activate more slowly now when using it consecutively.

  • Heilang will no longer disappear when using the skill Absorb Heilang.
  • Evasion can now be used forwards even when the skill has been locked.

  • The cooldown for the skill Summon Heilang has been changed to the following:

    • 6 sec.  → 10 sec.
  • The Super Armor effect will now be applied while using the skill Summon Heilang.

  • Heilang will now be ready for counterattack when summoned if Heilang or the Tamer is attacked upon using Summon Heilang.

  • When there is no attack command added after landing on the ground after using the Cloud Stomping skill, the character can now combo the next skill more quickly.

  • The character can now use the Cloud Stomping skill in Main Weapon mode.

  • The Cloud Stomping skill can now be used while any other skill is being used.

  • The Accuracy Rate for the Leaf Slash skill has been doubled for all levels.

  • The Accuracy Rate for the Celestial Bo Staff Training skill has been increased by x1.5 for all levels.

  • The Heilang: Howling skill can now be used in Main Weapon mode.

  • When the skill Tree Climb is locked, Moonlight Strike will be able to be used as a combo in Main Weapon mode.

  • The skill Flow: Gust can now be used while in Main Weapon mode while the Leaves Dropping skill is on cooldown.

  • The attack range for the additional hits of Garuda has been increased.

  • Air Attack and Air Smash effect has been added to the additional hits of the Garuda skill.

  • The Stamina consumption for the Bolt Wave skill has been reduced to the following for all levels:

    • 150 Stamina → 100 Stamina
  • The attack range for Void Lightning has been increased.

  • The Forward Guard effect for Void Lightning has been replaced with a Super Armor effect.

  • The damage for Beast Rampage has been changed to the following:

  • While using the skill Heilang: Howling, its effect will endure even when skills other than Heilang: Berserk and Absorb Heilang are used.

  • The ‘stiffness on good hits’ effect will apply more quickly for the skill Heilang: Howling.

  • Fixed the issue where the cooldown would reset when the following skills were used while on cooldown.

    • Tree Climb, Surging Tide, Upward Claw, Roaring

 

  • Fixed the issue of nearby party members, guild members, and platoon members having their Processing cancelled when the Valkyrie character uses Heaven's Echo, Elion's Blessing, or Breath of Elion near them while on a mount.

  • When you hold LMB while using the skill Sanctitas de Enslar, your enemy-targeting will now stay fixed and you will automatically follow it.

  • The Stamina consumption for the skill Hastiludium has been reduced to the following for all levels:

    • 300 Stamina → 200 Stamina

  • The attack range of the skill Punishment has been increased.

  • The healing range from the skills Purificatione I and II has been increased for friendly targets.

  • Purificatione’s effects have changed to the following:

    • Melee DP -10 for 10 sec. on good hits → All DP -10 for 10 sec. on good hits

  • The attack range for Castigatio III and IV have been increased.

  • You can now combo Terra Sancta more quickly after using Castigatio.

  • The knockback effect for Blitz Stab has been removed.

  • The damage for Ultimate: Blitz Stab has been changed to the following:

    • 888% x 8 → 1038% x 8

  • The attack range for Ultimate: Blitz Stab has been increased.

  • The travel distance when using Ultimate: Blitz Stab has been increased.

  • The Knockback effect for Ultimate: Blitz Stab has been removed.

  • You can now register Flow: Lucem Fluxem to the Quick Slot.

  • You can now use Strong Defense while using other skills.

  • Righteous Charge’s casting speed has been increased.

  • You can now use Shield Chase even when not using Guard.

 

  • Fixed the issue of nearby party members, guild members, and platoon members having their Processing canceled when the Witch character uses Healing Aura on them while on a mount.

  • When successfully landing a hit with the Fissure Wave skill by consuming Black Spirit's Rage, the issue where overlapping buff icons would appear on the victim’s screen has been fixed.

 

  • Fixed the issue of nearby party members, guild members, and platoon members having their Processing canceled when the Wizard character uses Healing Aura on them while on a mount.

 

  • Fixed the issue where the HP Recover effect would not be properly applied when using Fox Claw quickly after another skill has been used.

  • Ninjutsu: Black Moonlight’s stiffness effect will now only apply to monsters.

  • The Super Armor effect has been removed from Suicide Fall.

  • The Concealment effect will now be removed when being hit while using Concealment.

  • Ninjutsu: Blade Spin’s floating effect will now only apply to monsters.

  • Fixed the issue where the Super Armor effect would be applied to Beheading the Dead.

  • An All DP Reduction effect will be applied when Beheading the Dead lands a successful hit.


  • Fixed the issue where the HP Recover effect would not be properly applied when using Fox Claw quickly after another skill has been used.

  • Ninjutsu: Black Moonlight’s stiffness effect will now only apply to monsters.

  • The Super Armor effect has been removed from Suicide Fall.

  • The Concealment effect will now be removed when being hit while using Concealment.

  • Tendon Cutter’s stiffness effect will now only apply to monsters.

 

  • The PvP damage against all classes have been increased by 10%.

 

  • The fragment effect which appear when the Striker and Mystic attack will fly farther away.

 

  • Removed the Stun effect and Forward Guard from the skill Thunder Pound I.

  • The fragment effect which appears when the Striker and Mystic attack will fly farther away.

  • When using Flash Step and Silent Step, all levels will now apply the effect of increased movement speed +20% for 10 sec.

  • The Evasion increase effect has been removed from Nature's Wrath.

  • The Evasion increase effect for Rapid Stream has been adjusted to the following:

  • The HP Recover effects for Hurricane Sweep and Black Spirit: Hurricane Sweep have been changed to recover 200 HP per skill motion (up to 3 motions for a total of 600 HP recovery).

  • The Forward Guard effect has been removed from Twisted Collision.

 

  • Fixed the issue of nearby party members, guild members, and platoon members having their Processing canceled when the Archer uses Breath of the Spirit with Exhale on them while on a mount.

  • You can now obtain Archer outfits when opening the [Event] Karlstein Classic Box (15 Days) item.

 

  • Fixed the issue where the prices for the following items were incorrect:

    • Master's Elixir of Perforation Alchemy Box

    • Master's Elixir of Assassination Alchemy Box

  • The following description has been added for the HP Potion (Beginner) item.

    • Talk to NPC Lara to exchange HP Potion (Beginner) x2 for HP Potion (Small) x1.

  • The description which says that the item cannot be exchanged has been removed from the Robe Piece item description.

  • World Boss time table has been changed. Please find the newly updated boss time table via our official forum < Link >.

    • We will continuously look into the data and feedback of our community to update and present the most suitable time table. We ask for your patience and deep understanding during the process.

  • The HP for Garmoth of Enchantment Statue and Garmoth of Fury Statue (which appear together with the world boss Garmoth) have been reduced by 30%.

  • Changed the targeting method of monsters at Aakman Temple and Hystria Ruins.

    • The fix will make sure that the monsters at Aakman Temple and Hystria Ruins will not change targets frequently when within the attack range of the Magic Lighthouse of Witch and Wizard classes.

  • The chances of obtaining the items below by defeating monsters in the ocean has decreased by 60%:

    • [Guild] Steel Candidum Shell

    • [Guild] Amethyst Hekaru Spike

    • [Guild] Black Rust Tongue

    • [Guild] Nineshark's Fin

    • [Guild] Ocean Stalker Whisker

  • The placement of normal monsters near the Boss monsters summoned through the Black Spirit main quests has been changed so that they do not interfere with your battle.

 

 

[Quest]

  • The completion condition for the [Special Gift] Travelling Light II quest has been changed to be completed when you obtain the Value Pack knowledge.

  • You can obtain the Value Pack knowledge by using the Value Pack (1 day) you receive as a reward for completing the [Special Gift] Travelling Light I quest.

  • Adventurers who have completed the [Special Gift] Travelling Light I quest already can receive the knowledge through the Skill Instructor NPC Tachros in Velia.

  • The dialogue for receiving the Spearhead and Rudimentary Magic quests will be marked in yellow.

  • When going through the Operation Breakthrough quest, a navigation guide to the Wounded Delphe Knight’s objective (Granbill NPC) will be provided.

  • The Calpheon Resource Report quest can now also be obtained when completing the new Looking for Adventurers main quest.

  • Fixed the issue where quests from other crossroad quests could be seen when completing the Gift of Calpheon quest.

  • Fixed the issue where characters in the progress of going through the old main quests could not receive the Black Spirit’s gifts.

 

  • Locked items will no longer be used as Processing materials.

    • When continuously using Item Processing, locked items will no longer be included in the Processing.

  • The Main Quest widget will no longer be displayed when all Main Quests have been completed.

    • This has nothing to do with the Main Quest visibility settings in the Edit UI menu.

  • The notification messages at the bottom right will now close when the conditions for the notification messages have been completed.

  • The text alignment for the notification messages has been centered.

  • The voice chat icon in the guild member list has been changed.

  • The reconnection status UI will now be displayed when you reconnect to the client.

  • Emojis will now be entered into the location where you click the cursor within the chat window.

 

 

[Game World]

  • Fixed the issue where you would be able to see the sky from the Well within the Delphe Knights Castle when using the Remastered mode or Ultra mode resolutions.

 

[NPC]

  • Some of the NPC dialogues for the NPC’s in Muiquun have been changed to be more natural.

  • Fixed the unnatural camera effect when interacting with certain Soldier NPC’s at the Western Guard Camp.

  • Fixed the issue where NPC’s from a far distance (400 meters away) would appear as if they are floating.


[Class Fixes]

 

Warrior

  • Fixed the issue where the neck area would appear to poke through the helmet in a combat stance when equipped with the Shudad outfit.

  • Fixed the issue where the Counter skill’s icon would have a black background.
     

Ranger

  • Fixed the issue where the Stella outfit would appear graphically broken when maximizing the torso length while customizing.
     

Witch

  • Fixed the graphical issue where the front part of the hair would appear broken during customization when equipped with the Canape helmet.
     

Wizard

  • Fixed the issue where the Wizard’s hat was not visible when equipped with a basic outfit.

 

Maehwa

  • The speech bubble on top of the character will now properly disappear after a chat message has ended.
     

[Quest & Knowledge]

  • Fixed the issue where the Black Spirit dialogue would remain even after closing the Black Spirit dialogue window after completing Returning User quests.

  • Fixed the issue where the quests below were displayed on the Suggested quests tab even after completion.

    • [Awakening] Traces of Edana

    • [Awakening] Wizard’s Altar

    • [Awakening] Artifacts of the Naga

    • [Awakening] Bree Tree Cave
       

[System]

  • Fixed the issue where an Adventurer who sent a Guild Alliance Contract had to cancel the invitation in order to receive the contract again when an Adventurer dies after receiving the Guild Alliance Contract.

  • You can no longer build an annex on a fort of a Node War which has ended.

  • Fixed the issue where the auto-navigate feature would take you through a long route when going to regions on the right side of Tshira Ruins.

  • Fixed the issue where you could not obtain taxes from the tax cart.

  • The character outlines will now be displayed normally for DirectX9 users.

  • Fixed the issue where the character would appear as if it is inside the water at Waragon Cave even when the character is not actually inside the water.

 

[Interface Changes]

  • Fixed the issue where the Territory information would be incorrect in the Node War Status window of the World Map.

  • Fixed the issue where not all Maids and Butlers would be visible on the list when more than 20 Maids and Butlers have been hired.

  • Fixed the issue where some of the text for the Server Change window would bleed out of the window.

  • Fixed the issue where the locations of the skill cooldown/Quick Slot would move around.

 

[Updated 24/01/2019]

  • Fixed the issue where damage was not being inflicted intermittently after a CC skill had been applied.

 

  • We are aware of the issue where certain item icons are being displayed abnormally in Crafting Notes.

 

[Updated 24/01/2019]

  • (Berserker) We are aware of an issue where the last hit damage for Elastic Force is not being applied in PvP when Elastic Force is at Lv. 2 or lower.

 

[Updates 28/01/2019]

  • We are aware of the issue where information about Fish that cannot be caught is showing up in Crafting Notes.
  • We are aware of the issue where the “Enhancement Chance” would appear as 100% when having checked “Force-Enhance” button then checking “Use Cron Stone” button on items of Duo level and above. This will be resolved with Jan. 30th regular maintenance.
